Time Flies...

I think the phrase time flies when your having fun doesn't just apply to when your having fun. I think that time flies in general honestly. or maybe it's the older you get. or maybe time just flies for me. My freshman year of college is drawing to an end, and this just seems pretty much crazy to me! It feels like just yesterday I was packing my room, and picking out clothes to bring, now  I've packed my whole dorm-room, and I'm ready for summer again. I'm not saying that this year wasn't fun, because parts of it were fun, parts of it were life changing, and a lot can happen in a year.
So basically, the whole a lot changes in a year most definitely happened to me. the most important thing that happened to me was getting engaged, but I also learned what college life was like, maybe not all that I expected, but I did go to a very small college so maybe it doesn't really count..but I'm just saying it's not as awesome as people make it, basically it's school still, except you have no bed time (which I never had in high school anyways), and you get to eat not so great cafeteria food three meals a day(not your moms cooking), and you have to share your room basically with another sibling, and you have to clean up a bathroom because the rest of your suite doesn't want to (except one other person) in other words I grew up a lot this year. which is okay and I'm pretty sure everyone should have to live in a dorm for at least one year. You can learn a lot about yourself. I did enjoy giggling some nights with my friends, and talking about life, and even making new friends, college isn't allll bad, but most  the time I wished I was somewhere else entirely.  (like Nathans) Anyways, I'm done talking about the whole college life. It was fun while it lasted but I can't wait for the whole married life thing!
Anyways, on to other things that happened in my life this year well my brother got married, and also had a baby so that's fun, and my other brother is having a baby in a few weeks also, so three new family members in one year!!! Now that's pretty exciting I must say!
Hmmm, I've found new hobbies this year also, such as reading blogs, but one thing I did miss this year and I plan to do a lot of this summer (which I have a lot of plans for this summer) is read!!! I haven't got to read but like three books this whole year of school which is a bummer so I'm pretty sure I'm going to read a lot this summer. Also, have you ever planned a wedding? welllll I haven't, and I'm beginning to realize this may be a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.. But I have a wonderful fiance to help me, and a great family, and lots of friends willing to help too. so maybe it won't be to bad. But I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses this week, and it seems so crazy that I'm actually getting to do these things! :)
Speaking of wedding stuff, like I mentioned before I don't even know where to start... and me and Nathan are talking about registering and I don't even know what to get... or even to begin.. that alone is slightly overwhelming! but I also feel pretty good about everything because I feel like maybe I've got a lot done, and I'm going to get a lot more done in the next few weeks! :)
So anyways I didn't mean for this whole blog to be about my wedding but basically that's all I think about right now...  so that's all for now.. but I will share with you for now my bridesmaids dresses! love them! :)

Cute Right!?

Pretending.....

When I was a kid one of my favorite games was house.. You know.. Where you pretend to be the mom and someone has to be the dad and you have a baby and you get to boss that other person around and you make them dinner when they come home and it's a lot of fun for you but only if you are the bossy mom? or was that just in my pretend games? haha I'm not sure but last Friday I went home and my mom was subbing for kindergarten so I sat at the teachers desk for the end of the day and watched all the little kiddos play house.. and yes there was that one little girl that bossed everyone else around, she had heels, a cell phone, and groceries.. oh also a camera.. She went to work and came back and bossed everyone else around... Thinking back although our pretend games were similar I did not have a fake cell phone, camera or job. So I came to the frightening conclusion that even though they were playing a form of the game I played that age they had changed it to fit what they see day to day... I hope I'm not the mom on the phone going to work and coming home to boss my 5 year old around. I still want to be a mom  that stays home and cooks dinner for my hubby and picks my kids up from school and does crafts, is this going out of date? I don't know, or care for that matter, that's what I'm doing!

BUT... playing pretend in kindergarten was not what I originally wanted to write about.... I wanted to tell you about what all I still pretend to do in college.. No, I don't still play house and boss everyone around, but I still in a sense play pretend.... here are several things I pretend to do... take a nap, listen in class, listen to people in general, go to sleep early, work on homework, read for homework, and other various things.. but what I love most out of those and do the most often is pretend to nap... I love "napping" I go into my room at a certain time, shut the doors, lay in my bed, and do whatever I want, such as read  blogs, work on homework, look up wedding stuff, talk to my fiance(ooh I can say fiance, that's fun), or sometimes accidentally fall asleep, you may wonder how I exactly pretend to do this but you see if I hear the slightest noise I shut my computer or book roll over and close my eyes under my huge comforter no one can really tell if I'm awake or not and it's my favorite trick yet because sometimes I just need alone time, or everyday, I'm just one of those people.. :)  so you know I have that down to a pat. I'm pretty sure every college kid has the rest of my pretend stuff down, except maybe that going to sleep early thing. I know for sure my sweeties don't.. they can't pretend they are asleep ever, they always get caught talking to someone who comes in late at night and they never get sleep, I can't survive like that so you know I have that down too. Also as I write this I'm in economics, so I'm pretending right now to listen.

So in other news, I'm an Aunt to a beautiful baby Kash! I love him so much and he is so sweet and fun and it was great getting to hold him just the day after he was born.. and he's a good little guy and I'm glad I have him and also I will be having another nephew in a few short weeks! so that will be fun also!

For more exciting news, only three weeks of school left for me (this is not including my finals week) and this is super duper really exciting, I can not wait to get out of here. I am very tired of school in general but also of being in Haviland, I can't wait for summer to start and to start making my wedding dress and planning the rest of my wedding with my wonderful fiance Nathan Paul. He is so good, and by the way I haven't seen this wonderful guy in two weeks and I am ready for it to be Friday! so that I can go see him because I miss him very very much. Being a long distance away is a bummer always and I don't think anyone could ever get used to it. I thought it wouldn't be that bad but it's always hard to be away for more than a week. This summer I have a feeling will be hard when it comes to seeing each other but I hope I'm wrong and  that I get to see him lots! So now you know my weekend plans! I don't think I've stayed here but one weekend this whole semester, which was my plan to start off so I'm not bummed at all. I don't mind driving to spend a wonderful weekend with Nathan, we always have a great time.

Besides only having three weeks of school, I also have ten weeks of homework due.. Does anyone know why the heck teachers want to just pile it on at the end. I think they should know that no one wants to do anything the last weeks but no every teacher has a huge project due and it sucks! Besides that, my life is pretty much same old boring. and I don't have any fun pictures to give you guys!! hmmm.. ohhhhh I'll share with you a cool picture of some cupcakes that I want at my wedding!

Isn't it Cute!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! okay that is alll!!! Until Next time!

It's just the beginning of a fairytale ending..

Last week was spring break and it was probably the best most memorable spring breaks I will ever ever have! :) but.. I will start with the beginning and eventually you will see why it turned out to be the best..
I didn't know if this whole spring break was going to work out because my brother Luke and his wife are going to have a baby soon (kash) and my mom didn't want to leave just in case she went into labor. So we looked for people to go with me and my boyfriend but it's hard to find someone on such short notice all of his friends had plans and so did mine. So my parents ended up going for a few days with us before some of my friends families could come! :) Anyways... We had such a great time with my parents. Me and Nathan followed my parents their and we stayed in Pagosa Springs Colorado which is where we usually go and it was beautiful there..

Nathan really wanted to go snowboarding and even though I'm not a fan I decided I could manage to go with him for a day. We went on Tuesday and it was a blast.

and beautiful

Then my mom decided she wanted to stay the whole week with us so that we could go to Durango for the rest of the week. So on Wednesday we just hung out and waited for Andis family to come to Pagosa. While we were waiting me and Nathan decided to go on a walk....

There is this super cute bridge that we usually walk to so we walked there and watched some little kids throw rocks into the lake which inspired me to do the same!

then we took a few pictures of eachother and then decided to take timed pictures.. Little did I know I pretty much set myself up for a wonderful engagement... Yup he popped the question right there with a timed picture and everything it was pretty much perfect even if the first words out of my mouth were "I hate you" (of course I didn't mean) it and was immediately followed by.. yes yes of course!! i love you!!! and a few tears.

After, we walked back and hung out with Andi's family! Then we left for Durango the following day where we shopped a bit and then drove back to Pagosa for a meal with my besties families. Emily and Andi! :) We had a great night chatting and hanging out... on our way back to Durango at 12:30 we had to stop for a bad accident for about an hour se we didn't get back until about 2:30 on our way we saw 10 deer and 20 elk... it was intense but Nathan did a great job driving! :)

On Friday the families came to Durango to hang out with us and eat lunch at this amazing place called Gazpachos.. it is literally the best place ever! they have amazing Chili Rellanos.. :) We went shopping in various book stores and just walked around Durango. :)

Then our beloved spring break was over. We drove home Saturday but it was the best vacation ever.. :) and I am very excited. Today we are booking our honeymoon to St. Maarten... it's beautiful don't you think?

and many more wedding plans to come.. I hope you are ready for this! :)

I've officially decided.....

First, I am not very good at this whole blogging thing. BUT I'm pretty sure my life is about to get a whole lot more interesting so I will actually have something to blog about! Sometimes I feel like i don't have anything to significant to blog about so why should I blog but that brings me to my second thing...
Second, I'm a blog stalker... I'm admitting this because... it's getting slightly out of control.. I recently found this blog called The House of Smiths because i was look for Tutorials on how to make fabric flowers. You know the adorable ones that every little kid is wearing on their clothes and headbands. But I love them and I wanted to make some for myself. So I found this wonderful Tutorial.. which led me to look at her whole blog which is about crafts. and DIY projects and making your house oh so cute and functional and organized and I LOVE IT!!!! but not only do I stalk this blog but i also found many more blogs on this blog... just to name a few of my favorites, U-Create, Vintage Revival, Oopsey-Daisy, Girl N Air, Mama says Sew and Pleasant Home. I mean these are awesome! They have the most amazing ideas and I can hardly wait to use some of them!!!!!!
Third, Okay so along with these blogs that are so Inspiring I also love to look at Etsy Shops. and I'm considering opening one. They are so fun and an easy way to make money for all the crafty things I like to do. Such as I could mad sun dresses, or paintings, or these awesome new things that I love.. So i made this bottle for Nathan for Valentines Day and I just spray painted it and  then painted a little design on it and put our initials and then inside I put buttons with numbers on them and then I attached a card with date ideas that are numbered so it solves our problem of being indecisive instead we can just dump out a number and that's what we are doing. We added restaurants, and future places we want to visit! They are so fun to make and I want to make lots more so I think that is what I want to do with that. It would be a good hobby for the summer. Even though I feel like I will be so busy with other things. Oh well... We shall see about that. I'll keep you updated
Fourth, I'm obsessed with being organized... and I'm going to blame this on my boyfriend Nathan.... He made me become and organized freak.. Like I have my calendar color coded for the class assignments due on that day. and I want to have a plan for my weekends.. and.. I'm becoming a spaz about it..
Fifth, I think besides all of the above I should catch you up on the rest of life... hmmmmm since NOVEMBER!!! wow.. alright since November I had a few weeks of school left and then it was christmas break which was.... long.. You get a WHOLE month when you are in College. I spent most of my time in Wyoming.. but when I wasn't there we went to OKC to see  Luke my brother, then we went to Amarillo to see my other brother Tanner and it was pretty good. It was fun but I had a slight problem with the fact that I didn't get to see Nathan at all. It was a bummer for sure!!! anyways after break I came back to good ole Barclay and I've spent almost every weekend at Nate's except one.. and it has been so wonderful. For Valentines he surprised me and took me to Cheesecake Factory which was so great we had a blast like usual!!! I mean I have enjoyed every weekend with him even if we are lazy and silly or if we are busy busy.. Either way it's great!!! So here's a picture after Cheesecake Factory!
He's so Handsome

also... My daddy sent my Flowers. So Sweet!

and Nathan made this vase for me for V-Day. It's Precious!

So that weekend was so great. Last weekend was also great. We went to go see Miss. Emily and we had a great afternoon. We went to Coldstone which is the best ever and Nathan has never had so it was great to introduce him to that! Then Em had to go to some Spring Sing practice so me and Nate went and got him some dress shoes and we walked around the mall for a bit. Then we went to TEDS which is AMAZING!!!! sooo sooo so AMAZING! I mean they give you fresh tortillas at the beginning and chips and dips and then after all that you still have to eat something. Nathan got Enchiladas i got a Chili Rellano and they were both so good. I'm sure we will be visiting there again. So you are all caught up on my life. and it's not to exciting but I will have lots to tell you after this weekend I'm sure!

I don't know what else I've decided recently but if I think of others I'll let you know!
P.S. I love the song  Freaking Perfect by Pink. It's good. but mostly the edited version.
